My Client is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead and coordinate activities across three sites within the Leicester area. This is a high-profile leadership position responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance standards, and developing high-performing teams reporting directly into the General Manager.

Description

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight across three Leicester-based sites (1 Main site, 2 smaller)
  • Drive a strong health, safety, environmental and compliance culture.
  • Manage operational teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure all sites operate efficiently, meeting KPIs for productivity, quality, service and cost.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead workforce planning, resource allocation and succession planning activities.
  • Monitor budgets, operational expenditure and financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, environmental and company standards.
  • Produce operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
  • Support growth initiatives, new projects and operational change programmes.

Profile

I'm looking for a commercially minded operations professional who combines strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to managing multi-site Operations.

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, General Manager or Multi-Site Management role.
  • You will ideally be from a Waste/ Waste Management / Heavy Industry background
  • Experience managing operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering operational improvements and achieving KPIs.
  • Excellent people leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
