Part-Time Design andamp; Technology Teacher andndash; Chesterfield (ASAP or September 2026 Start)
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Part-Time Design andamp; Technology Teacher, with an ASAP start or a September 2026 start available.
This role is ideal for a creative and passionate DT specialist who enjoys inspiring students through practical, hands-on learning, innovation, and design.
Timetable: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (mornings)
The role includes:
andbull; Delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
andbull; Planning and adapting lessons to support all learners
andbull; Developing studentsandrsquo; practical, design, and problem-solving skills
andbull; Assessing, tracking, and providing meaningful feedback
andbull; Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment
andbull; Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Weandrsquo;re looking for candidates who:
andbull; Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
andbull; Have experience teaching Design andamp; Technology in secondary schools
andbull; Demonstrate strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar)
andbull; Are passionate about practical, hands-on learning
andbull; Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
andbull; Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
