What you will be doing

As a Contract Payroll Specialist, your primary focus will be on ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for employees across various units. You will act as a trusted partner to HR, Finance, and management, supporting payroll operations and resolving complex issues efficiently. Your role will be key in maintaining compliance and fostering continuous improvement within payroll processes.

  • Process payroll and benefits data accurately and on time, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and pension contributions
  • Conduct audits of payroll information to verify data integrity and compliance
  • Administer employee benefits platforms and oversee pension schemes and auto-enrolment processes
  • Coordinate with payroll providers and internal teams to resolve issues and enhance processes
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports for HR, Finance, and management decision-making
  • Ensure legislative compliance and keep abreast of UK and Irish payroll regulations
  • Support payroll system improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, with familiarity in payroll software and systems
  • Knowledge of UK and Irish payroll, tax laws, and compliance standards
  • Related qualifications such as CIPP (preferred) or equivalent
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Bachelorandrsquo;s degree or relevant experience in payroll or HR
