PPA Teacher - PRU | Bedfordshire | Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bedfordshire that is looking for a dedicated and resilient PPA Teacher to join their team from November.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils who face barriers to mainstream education. Working with children and young people with behavioural needs, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in their education, building positive relationships and helping them re-engage with learning.

What you'll be doing:

• Delivering engaging and adaptable lessons across a range of subjects and year groups to cover teachers' PPA time
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs in a specialist educational setting
• Establishing clear expectations and promoting positive behaviour through consistent classroom management
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities
• Creating a structured, safe and supportive learning environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged
• Working collaboratively with the wider school team to support pupils' academic progress and personal development

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a school or PRU, with experience supporting children with behavioural needs being essential
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is confident managing challenging behaviour and maintaining clear, consistent boundaries
• Is patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have had difficult experiences of education
• Can adapt their teaching style to engage pupils with diverse learning needs
• Works well as part of a team while using their own initiative
