kolt recruitment are looking for a prepper to join a well-established independent accident repair centre based in Southend.This is a great opportunity for an experienced vehicle prepper to join a busy and professional bodyshop with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality repairs. The successful candidate will play an important role within the paint department, ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard before entering the paint process.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles for paint including sanding, masking and priming
• Filling damaged areas and carrying out minor repairs where required
• Cleaning and degreasing panels before paint application
• Supporting paint sprayers to ensure an efficient workflow
• Ensuring all preparation work meets manufacturer and bodyshop standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Working efficiently to meet workshop targets and deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a vehicle prepper within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
• Strong knowledge of preparation processes and materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
• High attention to detail and quality of finish
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• ATA qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
