The School

A well-regarded primary school in the Brixton/Herne Hill area is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, supporting pupils through end of KS1 assessments in a balanced and engaging way.

You will be part of a well-supported team with parallel classes and experienced teaching assistants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Supporting phonics, reading, writing and maths development
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and presentation
  • Working collaboratively with the KS1 team


The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS with recent UK primary experience
  • Has strong KS1 and phonics knowledge
  • Demonstrates effective classroom management
  • Is organised, proactive and reflective
  • Works well within a team
