Interim Production / Operations Manager - Bakery
Mid Glamorgan, South Wales
Contract: 3-6 Months | Start: January 2026 andpound;400-andpound;500 per day
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production / Operations Manager to support a growing bakery operation based in Mid Glamorgan.
This is a contract-only interim assignment, focused on delivering immediate leadership, structure, and operational improvement within a fast-paced food production environment while the business recruit a permanent member of the team.
The Role
This is not an office-based position. You will be a visible, hands-on leader on the shop floor, working closely with teams to drive performance and support growth.
Key responsibilities include:

andmiddot;Driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and output
andmiddot;Implementing structure, processes, and best practices
andmiddot;Engaging teams and leading change in a practical, supportive way
What We're Looking For
andmiddot;Proven experience as a Production or Operations Manager
andmiddot;Strong background in food manufacturing or bakery production (preferred)
andmiddot;Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the shop floor
andmiddot;Experience working in growing or changing environments
andmiddot;Ability to build trust, influence positively, and bring teams with you
andmiddot;Flexible approach to working hours, including shift support where required
andmiddot;Ideally based within commuting distance of Mid Glamorgan / South Wales
