Production Manager - Manufacturing Operations

Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes across fabrication and assembly operations.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow and execute contract requirements in line with Master Production Schedules
• Instruct production supervisors and employees to ensure optimum workforce planning
• Minimise production constraints through effective scheduling of resources and deployment
• Generate and release Production Works Orders using MRP and CRP systems
• Coordinate with stores teams to collate scheduled work into component kits and sub-assemblies
• Work with purchasing departments to progress orders and ensure on-time delivery
• Manage shop floor data capture systems and ensure accurate time booking to contracts
• Approve overtime and collation of additional working hours
• Ensure works orders are completed with accurate labour booking and material allocation
• Conduct quality inspections and resolve manufacturing non-conformances
• Generate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing processes
• Lead production meetings focusing on delivery performance
• Create a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration

Requirements:

• Proven experience in production management within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of MRP and CRP systems
• Excellent scheduling and planning capabilities
• Leadership experience with production teams
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety standards
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
