Responsibilities

andnbsp;

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Technically support projects from inception though the whole life cycle of design and implementation, factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Assembly of and configuration of control system products, including all interfaces to third-party systems, with a disciplined approach to system configuration, backup and restoration

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Configuration of IP public address and voice alarm systems to interface with control systems

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Produce project-specific design and test documentation for control systems

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Produce all required customer and internal handover documentation

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Produce project-specific user reference documentation, maintenance manuals and deployment guides

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Understand company processes and work within them

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Design and support customer upgrade and migration plans

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Troubleshoot and maintain knowledgebase for PAVA and control system products

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Support service desk activities as required for in-service systems

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Opportunities to travel both in the UK and internationally to support local teams in the implementation and in-service support of customer projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

andnbsp;

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Platform engineering

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Layer 2 and layer 3 networking knowledge with a good understanding of Multicast

-andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Ubuntu or Debian-based Linux system administration - main technologies used are:

-andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp;-andnbsp;System services
