The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, youandrsquo;ll take ownership of the commercial performance across a range of water infrastructure projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful and profitable delivery.
Projects are varied across the water cycle, offering a mix of challenges from pipelines through to treatment facilities.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days in the office (Exeter or Liskeard) and 2 days working from home, within a close-knit and supportive team.

- Major pipeline installations and network upgrades
- Pumping stations and associated MEICA works
- Reservoir construction and refurbishment
- Water and wastewater treatment works
- Flood alleviation and environmental improvement schemes
Following continued growth and a secure pipeline of long-term framework projects, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, youandrsquo;ll take ownership of the commercial performance across a range of water infrastructure projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful and profitable delivery.
Projects are varied across the water cycle, offering a mix of challenges from pipelines through to treatment facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost plans, forecasts and detailed value reports
- Managing cost/value reconciliations (CVRs) and tracking project performance
- Producing and managing variations, compensation events and claims
- Assisting with tender preparation and pricing activities
- Negotiating with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Managing procurement and subcontractor accounts
- Providing commercial support and guidance to delivery teams
- Ensuring accurate valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Maintaining strong commercial controls across multiple projects
Weandrsquo;re looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with experience in civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure andmdash; ideally within the water sector.
Youandrsquo;ll bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or utilities projects
- Strong knowledge of CVRs, forecasting and financial reporting
- Good understanding of NEC contracts
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites when required
