We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in Residential Children's Homes in DARLINGTON
Work Location- Darlington, Co. Durham
Flexible Shifts- Days and Nights
Pay Rates- 15-16 per hour
About the Role
A Residential Children's Home provides a safe and supportive living environment for children and young people who cannot live with their birth families. Our homes are designed to replicate a family setting, staffed by professionals who provide 24/7 care. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting young people with their education, homework, meals, behaviour, and engaging them in activities both within the home and the community, aiming to create an experience as close to a normal family home as possible.
About You
You are a nurturing and caring individual with strong communication skills, capable of building trust and engaging with young people. You understand the importance of providing a stable and supportive environment for children who may have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or have learning disabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience working within a residential children's home.
- Experience supporting children and young people who display challenging behaviour (verbal and physical).
- Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect.
- Experience working with children with diagnosed learning disabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Information
PMVA training is essential. Being a car driver is preferred.
