School Cleaner (SEN Environment) - Preston

Location: Preston, Lancashire (PR1/PR2 Area) Salary: -14.23 per hour

Hours: 20 Hours Per Week | Monday - Friday Shift Pattern: Split Shifts

• Morning: 06:00 - 08:00 or 06:30 - 08:30
• Afternoon: 15:30 - 17:30
• Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and thorough Cleaner to join a vibrant SEN School in Preston. This is a vital role ensuring that our students have a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment to learn in.

Because this is an SEN setting, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of consistency and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, sensory rooms, and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, and dusting.
• Sanitizing high-touch surfaces and specialised equipment.
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing supplies.
• Ensuring waste is disposed of safely and according to school policy.
• Adhering to COSHH regulations and Health andamp; Safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a cleaner is preferred, ideally within a school or commercial setting.
• Reliability: Punctuality is essential for our split-shift schedule.
• DBS: An Enhanced DBS check is required (we can assist with this for the right candidate).
• Attributes: A respectful, hardworking attitude and the ability to work independently.
