Academics is proud to be working in partnership with a friendly, nurturing, and high-performing primary school that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from April 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while working within a welcoming and collaborative school community, where staff are valued and every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Role Details
- Location: Tower Hamlets
- Start Date: April 2026
- Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Pay: -9597 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Support children with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and support pupils' emotional wellbeing
- Help create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and wider staff to monitor and support pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Be proactive and committed to helping every child succeed
