About the Role

The Supply Registerandnbsp;are delighted to be working in partnership withandnbsp;Beckfoot Trustandnbsp;to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils atandnbsp;Hazelbeck School.

Hazelbeck School is a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including severe and profound learning difficulties, autism, and associated communication and sensory needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require tailored support to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs
  • Support pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Assist with communication strategies (including visual supports and alternative communication systems)
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support personal care where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or adults with SEN (school-based or care setting)
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • A willingness to support personal care needs
