SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception (1:1 Support)
Location: Little Lever, Bolton
Hours: Part Time - 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm)
Start Date: 20th April
Contract: Ongoing
A supportive and nurturing Primary School in Little Lever, Bolton is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This part-time role involves providing 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism, alongside supporting the wider class when appropriate.

The Role
- Providing consistent 1:1 support for a young child with Autism in Reception
- Supporting communication, engagement and emotional regulation
- Assisting the class teacher with adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Offering additional support to the wider class when appropriate
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social interaction
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider staff team
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism
- Be patient, nurturing and understanding of individual needs
- Have a good understanding of Early Years development
- Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Be reliable, consistent and proactive in their approach
