Are you somebody that has experience in delivering care/support to vulnerable children and feel like you'd enjoy supporting children with additional needs within a Primary classroom? At Vision for Education, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary schools throughout Peterborough.

The Role andndash; SEN Teaching Assistantandnbsp;

Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am andndash; 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2026

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be working with children aged 2andndash;11 with a variety of complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant role include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Aiding communication and classroom engagement
  • Supporting mobility and physical needs
  • Delivering personal care respectfully and sensitively
  • Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide a nurturing environment

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in working with children, particularly with those with additional needs
  • A compassionate and resilient nature
  • Confidence in providing personal care when needed
  • Ability to commit to the schoolandrsquo;s full-time working hours
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Able to provide references, and proof of right to work and address
