Responsibilities
As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you will:
- Lead and manage a variety of projects across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, offices, and performing arts.
- Provide technical expertise in acoustic design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering exceptional results.
- Collaborate with clients, explaining complex acoustic concepts in a clear and engaging manner to non-technical audiences.
- Conduct sound insulation testing and site visits to ensure practical and effective solutions.
- Utilize and develop skills in software tools such as CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A, and Revit for acoustic and environmental modelling.
- Contribute to the development of innovative processes, tools, and products to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
- Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess strong technical knowledge of building acoustics and industry standards.
- Have experience managing projects across multiple sectors.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Have hands-on experience with construction, sound insulation testing, and site work.
- Be proficient or interested in acoustic and environmental modelling software.

Day-to-Day
On a typical day, you will:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to develop acoustic solutions for new and existing buildings.
- Conduct site visits to assess and test acoustic performance.
- Utilize modelling software to simulate and optimize acoustic environments.
- Prepare detailed reports and design specifications.
- Brainstorm innovative ideas with the team to improve processes and develop new products.
- Mentor junior team members and share your expertise.
- Engage with clients to build strong relationships and meet their needs effectively.
