Iandrsquo;m working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy to appoint a Senior or Associate Building Surveyor into its Building Surveying team in Orpington. They offer very flexible working patterns with a minimum requirement of only 1 day in the office in Orpington, meaning candidates living a little further afield could consider this.andnbsp;

This is a role for someone who wants to step into a more influential position- leading projects, supporting team development, and working within a business that delivers meaningful work across both the public and commercial sectors.

Youandrsquo;ll be joining a collaborative, technically strong team with a consistent pipeline of secured work and a reputation for quality delivery.

The Role

Youandrsquo;ll take a senior role within the Building Surveying team, leading on a range of project and professional instructions, often of a complex nature.

This is a hands-on delivery role with real responsibility, where youandrsquo;ll be trusted to manage projects, advise clients, and support the wider team.

Key responsibilities:

andbull; Lead and deliver building surveying projects, including more complex schemes
andbull; Manage projects from inception through to completion
andbull; Provide technical advice on defects, condition, and Party Wall matters
andbull; Deliver pre-contract services including procurement advice and project setup
andbull; Produce high-quality reports, specifications, and contract documentation
andbull; Administer JCT contracts across a range of schemes
andbull; Undertake site inspections, managing risk, compliance, and health andamp; safety
andbull; Build strong client relationships and maintain high standards of service delivery
andbull; Support and mentor junior members of the team

Youandrsquo;ll play an active role in maintaining quality, consistency, and professionalism across project delivery.

About You

Youandrsquo;ll be a capable and motivated Building Surveyor who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and working closely with clients.

Youandrsquo;ll likely have:

andbull; MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership
andbull; A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
andbull; Experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle
andbull; Strong understanding of JCT contracts and contract administration
andbull; Good technical knowledge including defects and Party Wall matters
andbull; Strong communication and report writing skills
andbull; Ability to manage your own workload and contribute to team delivery
andbull; Full UK driving licence
