Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager
Job Description
Trading for over 35 years and delivered iconic contracts for Tier 1 Contractors as well as leading developers, my client are now looking to expand their procurement team with the hire of a Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager.
While my clients experiences tend to lend itself to the building envelope, they have a fantastic track record of taking commercial candidates from a slightly different background and with the proper training, turned them into one of their best staff employees due to wider knowledge of construction.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering procurement activities across multiple packages by creating, managing and leading the procurement plan process
- Collaboration with all key stakeholders to provide commercial robustness, technical compliance, programme alignment, supply chain performance, and risk mitigation
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process of projects, being fully conversant with the operational scope and cost plan of a project
- Maximising efficiencies and driving out hidden costs and potential risk where possible
- Manage the enquiry process for materials and plant, collate and analyse quotations in order to produce supply chain recommendations
- Ensure all orders are placed with clear terms and conditions appropriate to each package of works in the appropriate agreement format to protect the businesses interests
- Continually monitor purchases against the cost plan, ensuring that the best available rates are achieved for the company
If you're from a materials background that's procured any sub-contract package related to the construction industry, please do not hesitate to reply.
Depending on the calibre of the candidate, my client would look to pay up to -85k plus generous package.
