Huntersandrsquo; client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of temporary and permanent works within the water and civil engineering sector. This is a senior-level role requiring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through to construction.

Senior Design Engineer - The Role

• Lead the design and delivery of temporary and permanent works in line with BS 5975, Eurocodes, and UK Handamp;S legislation
• Produce and check engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
• Manage multiple projects, coordinating with clients, project teams, and supply chain stakeholders
• Carry out site visits to assess conditions and support safe, buildable design solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement in design and digital processes

Senior Design Engineer - The Fit

• 7andndash;10+ yearsandrsquo; experience in civil engineering or temporary works design
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and CDM Regulations
• Proven ability to produce and review detailed engineering calculations and reports
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, Chartered or working towards
• Proficient in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) with strong communication skills
