Our client is a specialist Automotive supplier working in partnership withandnbsp;OEMandrsquo;sandnbsp;to provide high-quality re-manufactured parts. After beingandnbsp;establishedandnbsp;over 70 years ago they have been through modernisation in recent decades and are seeing huge year on year growth as they continue strengthening their relationship with one of the leading Automotive manufactures in the UK.andnbsp;

The company employs 70+ staffandnbsp;and has a andpound;multi-million turnover.andnbsp;Over recent years, with a new Health, Safety andamp; Quality Manager at the helm they have made huge inroads in creating a more effective and robust quality department and now require a Senior Quality Engineer to continue with this work. andnbsp;andnbsp;

The Roleandnbsp;

Theandnbsp;Senior Quality Engineer will work alongside the Health, Safety andamp; Quality Manager and the other members of the team to reduce repeat mistakes andandnbsp;identifyandnbsp;areas of repeatable improvement.andnbsp;andnbsp;

Key daily responsibilities willandnbsp;include;andnbsp;

  • Raising theandnbsp;Right First Time percentage rate for completed assemblied andndash; after each product is assembled, if it results in failure at testing,andnbsp;problem solving will be carried out alongside root cause analysis on the failures to understand them andandnbsp;identifyandnbsp;corrective measures for future assembliesandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Collecting data overandnbsp;a period of timeandnbsp;toandnbsp;identifyandnbsp;trends, continually reviewing after corrective measures put in place to ensure trends in right direction .

  • Reviewing andandnbsp;enhancing SOPsandnbsp;andndash; Auditing and reviewing existingandnbsp;SOPandrsquo;sandnbsp;to ensure they are enforced and identifyingandnbsp;where they are lacking, toandnbsp;build revisions and improvements into the QMS system.andnbsp;

  • Maintaining accreditations in placeandnbsp;

  • andnbsp;Hosting external audits andndash; taking any non-conformances from these and runningandnbsp;8Dandrsquo;sandnbsp;toandnbsp;identifyandnbsp;solutionsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Supportingandnbsp;APQPandnbsp;processes for new supplier componentsandnbsp;

andnbsp;

The Candidateandnbsp;

To be successful in your application for thisandnbsp;Senior Quality Engineerandnbsp;role you willandnbsp;need;andnbsp;

  • Previousandnbsp;experience working as a Quality/Senior Quality Engineer within an engineering/manufacturing environmentandnbsp;

  • Someone practically minded andndash; role will be 50% office based and the rest of the time problem solving with people on the shop floor.

  • Significantandnbsp;problem solvingandnbsp;experienceandnbsp;

  • Root cause analysis andamp;andnbsp;8Dandnbsp;experienceandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Ability to work aloneandnbsp;and provide support at a Senior levelandnbsp;

andnbsp;
