Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality construction and fit-out projects across the UK?

We're working with a respected and growing organisation seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects while enjoying genuine career progression, flexible working and the support of an experienced commercial team.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of multiple construction projects from procurement through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing project budgets and cost plans

• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages

• Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)

• Managing variations, valuations and final accounts

• Assessing subcontractor applications and payments

• Identifying and managing commercial risks

• Providing contractual advice under JCT and NEC contracts

• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams

• Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

• Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector

• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, with NEC experience also desirable

• Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting

• Ability to complete take-offs and value variations independently

• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• Confident communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships

• A proactive approach and the ability to work using your own initiative

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required

• Salary of £35,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
