Job description:
To ensure we support our growing world-wide fast jet development we need to increase the size of our Structural
Analysis team.
As a Senior Structures Engineer within that team you will need to have a thorough knowledge Aircraft Structural
Analysis covering metallics and composites using a range of analysis techniques from traditional hand calculations
through to computational techniques such as Finite Element Analysis.
Engineering knowledge sufficient to supervise junior/early career engineers.

andmiddot; Structural sizing and analysis
andmiddot; Finite Element Analysis
Dependent upon your specialist experience and knowledge, you will be responsible for activities such as:
andmiddot; Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and to your team members.
andmiddot; Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team's knowledge, skill and
experience across the Structures discipline.
andmiddot; Ensuring effective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers and others, to develop efficient
and effective working practices, and resolving issues as they arise to maintain this effectiveness.
andmiddot; Carrying out analysis of structure using finite element analysis, traditional hand-calculations and calculations
using a variety of software applications, to demonstrate that the structural design meets relevant
certification and project requirements.
andmiddot; Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
