We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our supportive and friendly team to develop and promote fostering services in the Yorks andamp; Lincs area.andlt;/pandgt;andlt;pandgt;The team office is based in Melton, and we support a hybrid model of working with flexibility to work from home. At FCA, weand#39;re committed to supporting every child and foster parent every day.andlt;/pandgt;andlt;h3andgt;Duties Will Includeandlt;/h3andgt;andlt;ulandgt;andlt;liandgt;Supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster careandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Supervising, supporting and monitoring the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environmentandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Ensuring carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved and the standards expected, including complaints and representation procedures in line with FCA policies and proceduresandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Providing and recording regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCAand#39;s Operational Standardsandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Working in partnership using a team parenting approach to identify needs within the foster family (e.g. respite, activities, therapy, holidays), contributing to meetings and agreed actionsandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Ensuring records for each child and foster parent are fully compliant with all key documentation requirementsandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Attending meetings and/or providing reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packagesandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Promoting participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local communityandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basisandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Undertaking occasional initial home visits and Form F assessmentsandlt;/liandgt;andlt;/ulandgt;andlt;h3andgt;You Must Haveandlt;/h3andgt;andlt;ulandgt;andlt;liandgt;A Social Work qualificationandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalentandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writingandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding proceduresandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;The willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs areaandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;Confidence transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situationsandlt;/liandgt;andlt;liandgt;A full UK driving licenceandlt;/liandgt;andlt;/ulandgt;andlt;pandgt;For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Laura Rawlings, Fostering Service Manager, on (phone number removed).andlt;/pandgt;andlt;pandgt;We would love to hear from you.
