The Company

Weandrsquo;re working in partnership with a highly regarded civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across Devon and Somerset. Established and continuing to expand, the business delivers complex infrastructure schemes typically valued between andpound;5m and andpound;40m.
Their portfolio includes major highways projects, bridges and structures, Section 278 works, infrastructure upgrades, road realignments, and junction improvements. With a reputation for technical excellence, strong safety performance, and a collaborative delivery style, they are a trusted partner to clients and benefit from a high level of repeat work.
With a healthy pipeline of secured projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to join their Exeter team.

The Role

As Site Agent, youandrsquo;ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of live civil engineering projects, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations.
Youandrsquo;ll act as the central point of coordination between the client, subcontractors, and internal teams, driving site performance while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and contributing to client and site progress meetings
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site
  • Supervising, motivating, and supporting site teams
  • Developing short-term plans and look-ahead programmes
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving RAMS
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Overseeing quality control and health andamp; safety compliance
  • Ensuring adherence to company and project procedures
The Ideal Candidate

Weandrsquo;re looking for a confident and driven Site Agent with a solid background in civil engineering and proven experience delivering infrastructure schemes.
You will have:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working for a civil engineering main contractor
  • A strong track record delivering highways, infrastructure, or structures projects
  • A commercially aware and solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A technically focused mindset with a strong emphasis on safety and quality
