Location: Plymouth
Salary: £60k + £5400 Car Allowance/Company Vehicle + Package

The Opportunity

A leading civil engineering contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a long-term water infrastructure framework across Devon and Cornwall.
Working on projects valued between £50k and £5m, you'll oversee the successful delivery of a diverse range of clean and wastewater infrastructure schemes including:
  • Pipelines
  • Reservoirs
  • Pumping stations
  • Screens
  • Runaways
  • Associated water infrastructure and civil engineering works
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent who enjoys delivering multiple projects in a fast-paced framework environment, working closely with clients, commercial teams and operational delivery teams.

The Role

As Site Agent, you'll be responsible for:
  • Managing the safe and efficient delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinating programmes to ensure key milestones and client deadlines are achieved.
  • Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners throughout project delivery.
  • Monitoring project performance, budgets and forecasts alongside commercial teams.
  • Supporting pre-construction activities through site visits, technical input and buildability reviews.
  • Coordinating with local authorities, highways and statutory bodies where required.
  • Attending client meetings and providing regular progress updates to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and temporary works requirements.
  • Producing and reviewing RAMS, site documentation and project records.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and quality checks.
  • Monitoring KPIs and SLAs while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout project delivery.
About You To be successful as Site Agent, you'll ideally have:
  • Previous experience managing civil engineering water or utility infrastructure projects ESSENTIAL
  • A background within clean water, wastewater or wider infrastructure frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation, CDM and temporary works.
  • The ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant construction qualifications such as HNC, HND, NVQ or Degree (or equivalent).
  • SMSTS, CSCS, Streetworks and other relevant site management certifications would be advantageous.
