Position Title: Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer

You will play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of civils and groundworks works on a major project in Rosyth. Working closely with the site and engineering teams, you will be responsible for accurate setting out, interpreting engineering information, and ensuring works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality standards.

Projects include civils, groundworks, concrete structures, and infrastructure packages requiring accurate setting out, surveying, and dimensional control.

This role suits a technically minded Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer who enjoys working with precision and detail while supporting and mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the successful delivery of the project.

andbull; Carry out accurate setting out and dimensional control across allocated areas of the works
andbull; Interpret and communicate engineering drawings and technical information to site teams
andbull; Produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate project records
andbull; Establish and maintain survey control, verifying control points and dimensional accuracy
andbull; Ensure survey equipment and instrumentation are correctly calibrated and maintained
andbull; Identify discrepancies in engineering drawings and raise RFIs or technical queries
andbull; Support design coordination and engineering information management
andbull; Carry out site inspections and quality checks, ensuring works meet specification and ITP requirements
andbull; Maintain and assist with quality assurance documentation and permits
andbull; Support delivery of Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability standards on site
andbull; Provide quantity information and assist with material call-offs and procurement
andbull; Assist with logistics planning and coordination of temporary works inspections
andbull; Maintain a site diary and communicate technical updates with the project team
andbull; Mentor and support Graduate, Assistant, and Apprentice Engineers

andbull; HNC or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Structural Engineering
andbull; Proven Site Engineering experience with strong setting out capability
andbull; Experience delivering civils, groundworks, or concrete frame projects
andbull; Highly competent in surveying and setting out techniques
andbull; Experience using survey equipment and CAD software for engineering data transfer
andbull; Ability to interrogate design information and resolve technical discrepancies
andbull; Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to site teams
andbull; Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers
