Job Description
Job Title: Site Engineer (x2)


Location: Netherton Hub, Peterhead (Approx. 50 minutes north of Aberdeen)
Contract Type: Freelance Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: 3-6 Months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35



Rate


  • -400- -450 per day (dependent on experience)

  • Additional accommodation allowance if required


Working Hours


  • 50 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday

  • 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM


Project Overview


The Netherton Project is a major civil engineering scheme involving significant infrastructure works, including large-scale earthworks, road construction, and drainage.
Due to the nature of the works, candidates with experience on major infrastructure or highways projects are highly desirable.



Key Responsibilities


  • Setting out and monitoring earthworks operations

  • Carrying out and recording as-built surveys

  • Maintaining site records and daily diaries

  • Updating and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

  • Coordinating activities across the site team and subcontractors

  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and quality standards


Candidate Requirements



Essential


  • Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects

  • Experience in earthworks, drainage, and road construction

  • Strong site documentation and record-keeping skills

  • Experience producing as-built surveys


Desirable


  • Background in major infrastructure or highways projects (e.g. HS2 or similar major infrastructure works)

  • EUSR CAT 1 and CAT 2 training preferred for managing site permit systems
