Specifications and Packaging Technologist - Hybrid

As a Specifications andamp; Packaging Technologist, you will play a key role in ensuring products reach the shelf with complete accuracy, full compliance, and exceptional presentation. This is a varied and rewarding position, combining responsibility for product specifications, packaging development and artwork delivery across both branded and own-label ranges.
You will manage finished product and ingredient specifications using systems such as Hamilton Grant and Trace One, ensuring all product data and labelling meet UK, EU and international regulatory requirements. Your expertise will support audits, maintain compliance, and help the business stay ahead of evolving legislation.
In addition, you will lead packaging development projects, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver solutions that meet technical, sustainability, and operational requirements. You will also oversee the end-to-end artwork process, ensuring packaging is accurate, compliant and delivered right first time.
This role requires a highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects while working cross-functionally.
We're looking for someone with experience in specifications, ideally with exposure to packaging within an FMCG environment. You'll have a strong understanding of food labelling legislation and be familiar with specification management systems, enabling you to work confidently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
