Are you a Stores Person experienced in supporting gas mains replacement projects, managing materials, and overseeing yard operations? If so, then read on!

Our client is a leading national utility company who have recently been awarded a long-term gas framework contract. To facilitate the operational support team, they are looking for a reliable Stores Person to ensure the smooth running of the yard and stores on a busy contract, based out of the depot in Chessington.

Stores Person Key Essentials:

• As Stores Person your role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the yard and stores, ensuring efficiency and organisation at all times
• Managing incoming and outgoing materials, plant, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and availability
• Maintaining up-to-date stock records and ensuring materials are readily available to meet site demands
• Coordinating deliveries and collections with suppliers and site teams
• Ensuring the yard is kept clean, safe, and well organised in line with HSE standards
• Carrying out basic checks and inspections on tools and equipment
• Supporting operational teams with material requests, logistics, and planning requirements

Stores Person Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Stores Person in the gas sector (good knowledge of materials / pipe fittings, etc. is essential)
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence with towing capabilities (Essential) andamp; Forklift licence (Desirable)

The hours of work are 6.00am to 4.00pm (Monday to Friday)
