Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all supply-related matters concerning UK supermarkets and other mainstream customers.
- Work closely with the Sales and Buying teams to identify required stock levels for retail customers, ensuring service levels of 98%+ on all delivered orders.
- Manage relationships and contracts with external hauliers, ensuring service performance and cost objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Senior Buyer and Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure 100% launch availability for all new product lines supplied to UK supermarkets and mainstream customers.
- Coordinate with customers' Supply Chain teams on forecasting, promotional planning, and order fulfilment issues.
- Maintain and update the weekly sales forecast, including downloading and processing EPOS data from retailer systems.
- Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained at third-party warehouses and manage stock transfers when required.
- Provide customer support for new product launches, including completing new line forms, product codes, and organising samples or mock-ups.
- Build strong relationships with freight forwarders and logistics agents to ensure freight costs remain competitive and aligned with market rates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supply chain documentation and administrative records.
- Provide early warning to relevant colleagues regarding potential product supply or stock issues.
- Analyse and resolve complex supply chain data issues, ensuring efficient operational solutions.
- Work with the Warehouse Stock Controller to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Book appointments with supermarket buyers and head office teams when required.
- Build strong client relationships to maintain existing business and support new customer acquisition.
- Manage day-to-day communication with retail buying teams.
- Provide promotional support for key accounts, ensuring alignment with sales and marketing plans.
- Liaise with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Logistics, and customers to ensure successful in-store promotions and strong product availability.
