Your Role as a Supply Teacher

As a Supply Teacher, you will maintain continuity during teacher absence, delivering appropriate learning and establishing clear expectations from the start of the day.

• Deliver prepared lessons for daily cover and adapt activities where pupils need additional explanation.
• Apply the school's behaviour policy and maintain an orderly, inclusive learning environment.
• Check understanding and leave clear feedback on learning, work completed and relevant concerns.
• Undertake planning and assessment appropriate to the assignment, with responsibilities agreed beforehand.

What We Are Looking For in a Supply Teacher

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and experience in your preferred phase.
• A Supply Teacher who can settle quickly into a new school and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Sound curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
