About the Roleandnbsp;

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Administrator to join a busy and fast-pacedandnbsp;logisticsandnbsp;operation based in Rushden. Working closely with the Transport Manager and reporting directly to the Administration Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day transport administration function across multiple contracts.andnbsp;

This role requires a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, capable of managing high volumes of paperwork, processing Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and supporting operational efficiency within a palletised freight environment.andnbsp;

Key Responsibilitiesandnbsp;

  • Provide full administrative support to the Transport Manager and wider transport teamandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Process and manage high volumes of PODs across multiple contractsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Ensureandnbsp;accurateandnbsp;filing, scanning, and uploading of delivery documentationandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Chase outstanding PODs from drivers, customers, and partner depotsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Update transport management systems with delivery and collection informationandnbsp;

  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and subcontractorsandnbsp;regardingandnbsp;delivery queriesandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Support daily planning administration and operational documentationandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Assistandnbsp;with booking slots, customer requests, and general transport queriesandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Maintainandnbsp;accurateandnbsp;records for invoicing and operational reportingandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Handle general administration duties including emails, data entry, and document controlandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Support compliance requirements and internal proceduresandnbsp;andnbsp;

Skills andamp; Experience Requiredandnbsp;

  • Previousandnbsp;experience in a Transport Administrator role (essential)andnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Experience working withinandnbsp;a logisticsandnbsp;/ haulage / pallet network environment preferredandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Strong POD processing experienceandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Excellent organisational and time management skillsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced transport officeandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • High attention to detail and accuracyandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Strong communicationandnbsp;skillsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and transport systemsandnbsp;andnbsp;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a teamandnbsp;andnbsp;
