Working in partnership with schools and Local Authorities | Spencer Clarke Tutors
Pay Rate: £25 - £30 per hour
Location: Skelmersdale
Hours: Flexible, dependent on learner requirements
Contract: Part-time
Spencer Clarke Tutors are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Tutors to support children and young people across Skelmersdale through personalised, 1:1 education programmes.
We work with learners who may be outside of mainstream education, require additional support with their studies, or benefit from a more flexible and individual approach to learning.

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions.
• Support learners across Primary and Secondary education.
• Provide Maths, English and other subject support where appropriate.
• Adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships and encourage learner confidence.
• Help pupils re-engage with education and develop their skills.
• Provide clear feedback following each session.

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Teaching qualification, tutoring experience or relevant educational background.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated sessions.
• Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or learners with barriers to education is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential). If you do not have one, we can send you a link to apply for one as part of the process.
• Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
