Warehouse Operative
Job Description
8.15am andndash; 4.30pm, Monday andndash; Fridayandnbsp;
37.5 hour working week, with early finish Fridays (3.15pm)
A niche and reputable manufacturing company which produces specialist products for worldwide distribution is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative.
Working as part of a team, responsibilities will include -andnbsp;
- Receive, check and store finished goods, raw materials, parts and consumables.
- Safely handle and work with hazardous or controlled materials in accordance with COSHH assessments, training and company procedures.
- Store finished goods, ensuring accurate completion of documentation and compliance with stock-control procedures.
- Pick and prepare materials for production according to batch sheets.
- Deliver materials to production lines in line with manufacturing schedules.
- Perform stock rotations to support manufacturing requirements.
- Carry out cycle counting, stock takes and inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate stock transactions using ERP system.

Skills andamp; experience required -
- Proven experience working in a warehouse, logistics or materials handling role; working with hazardous goods.
- Competence in storing, organising and managing finished goods, raw materials and consumables.
- Ability to follow pick lists, job cards, and production orders accurately.
- Experience working with ERP or stock management systems for real-time inventory updates.
- Strong understanding of stock rotation principles.
- Ability to conduct cycle counts, stock takes and discrepancy investigations.
- Understanding of goods in / goods out procedures.
- Safe and competent operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
