My client a market leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Water Consultant to join their Hydro-Ecology Team based across the UK. andnbsp;This role can be based in offices across the North West, Midlands and South West England. andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp;

Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in hydrology, flood risk, water resources or GIS and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing hydrological risk assessments, water resource assessments, WFD Assessments and water quality. andnbsp; andnbsp;andnbsp;

Experience of river habitat surveys, environmental permitting or compliance is also advantageous. andnbsp;

You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills to write reports. andnbsp;

As a Water Consultant you will join an experienced team to complete varied hydrological, water quality, hydro-ecology, flood risk and water resources projects for infrastructure, renewable energy and developments across the UK. andnbsp;You will be trained and supported to complete; andnbsp;

Watercourse assessments.

River habitat surveys.

Habitat regulation assessments. andnbsp;

Protected species surveys for white clawed cray fish and water voles. andnbsp;

Water framework directive assessments.

Water resource assessments

Hydrological assessments

Water quality assessments and monitoring. andnbsp;

Data analysis of monitoring data.andnbsp;

Flood risk assessments.andnbsp;

GIS mapping. andnbsp;andnbsp;

Climate risk and resilience assessments . andnbsp;

Environmental permitting applications and compliance. andnbsp; andnbsp;

Site visits, sampling and of river environments. andnbsp; andnbsp;
