Job Title - Welding Operative
Salary package - -35-38K including shift allowance
Location - Devizes, Wiltshire
Hours - 39 hours a week Shifts - rotating double day shift pattern (see below)
My client is looking to recruit a Welding Operative to work within their welding department of their engineering business. The company has been established a number of years and supply various industries including Aerospace, Automotive and Power Generation.
Duties/responsibilities: -
- Operating a range of manual and semi-automatic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding machines.
- Follow all company documentation, work instructions and policies relevant to your department.
- Produce parts that conform to the drawing andamp; specification requirements, being responsible for visually inspecting the welds to the relevant internal, customer and international standards.
- Ensure all documentation including works orders and inspection plans are completed.
Requirements/Qualifications: -
- Previous experience in manual and/or semi-automatic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding and an understanding of the principles of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Good hand/eye co-ordination.
- Steady hand.
This position will be working initially a day shift pattern Monday to Friday during training, and then a rotating double day shift pattern as below:
Earlies: 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am to 11.00am on Friday
Lates: 2.30pm to 11.00pm Monday to Thursday and 11.00am to 4.00pm on Friday
